Memorial for Hills Road Alumna Rose Wharton

On Saturday 1st September, a group of Hills Road alumni returned to the College in memory of their friend and fellow student Rose Wharton.
A group of Hills Road Alumni recently met up at the College to remember their friend and fellow student, Rose Wharton.

Rose tragically passed away in May, aged 33, from a rare form of cancer which is usually caused by asbestosm despite Rose not having any history of exposure to it. Her friends and fellow pupils held a memorial event for Rose at the Hills Road Sixth Form College in September; her friend Amy told us "We all miss her a huge amount and it was great coming back to somewhere she loved to remember her."

Rose's inquest came out recently, and it has had some press coverage because what she died of was so rare: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-oxfordshire-45642790
